We invite ALL to join. <\/strong>Parents, students, guardians, grandparents, aunts, uncles, community members and Moody faculty\/staff.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Becoming a PTSA member is a great way to support our PTSA. Parents, guardians, teachers, students and even extended family members are encouraged to join the PTSA and can do so at <\/span>any<\/em> time during the year.<\/span><\/p>\n

PTSA membership funds provide support for our students, faculty, and staff. You are also eligible to receive certain benefits and discounts from both the Virginia PTA (www.vapta.org\/members-only\/benefits-and-discounts<\/a>) and National PTA (www.pta.org\/benefits<\/a>)!<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no better way to know what\u2019s happening in our school. You will be first to hear about important changes or decisions. We are just a click away on our website or Facebook page.<\/p>\n

Are you new to middle school? Are you new to the county itself? Is your student getting ready for high school? PTSA events and forums are opportunities to meet fellow parents, build rapport, share ideas, concerns, and experiences.<\/p>\n

Reason #3: You Will Become An Integral Part Of The Change:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

By becoming a member and contributing to Raider Fund you\u2019ll be part of the change. Your contribution makes positive changes possible. Local PTAs play an important role in supporting curriculum based programs, building improvements, facilitating extra-curricular and organizing social events.<\/p>\n

Reason #4: You will Grow While Giving Back:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Are you an excellent communicator? Do you love to host and plan events? Are you good with database? Do you thrive on social-media and networking?\u00a0 By joining and volunteering with Moody PTSA, you put your skills and hobbies to use for a noble cause. Moody PTSA is a non-profit and 100%<\/em> run by volunteers like you. You also gain valuable experiences that can benefit you and others.<\/p>\n

Middle School often witnesses unmotivated, disengaged students with academic woes. By joining the Moody PTSA, you\u2019ll be demonstrating to your child, the importance YOU place on their education and school. Children like to know that they\u2019re valued, and that their parents care about what\u2019s going on even when they\u2019re not home. Seeing a parent associated with PTSA affirms this. In fact, PTSA membership is open to any engaged family member including grandparents, aunts, uncles, foster parent, caregiver etc.<\/p>\n

Reason #7: You Have Direct Access To The Largest Child Advocacy Association In USA<\/strong>:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

PTA is the oldest and largest volunteer child advocacy association in the United States. Founded in 1897, PTA has a long, successful history of influencing federal policy to promote the education, health and wellbeing of all children. The PTA\u2019s nationwide network provides parents with the forum and tools to collectively influence the decisions that affect children not only at their schools, but also throughout their districts, within their states, and across the nation. This mission is unique to the PTA.<\/p>\n
